I've heard this said before but personally I have never had a problem using Safari on my Macs. Somewhat slow, and the 'flash' stuff is a nuisance (I have 'click to flash' installed so maybe that helps); the long pause when clicking on a new page is somewhat disconcerting, but I always seem to get to where I'm going. This includes finding flights, purchase, selecting seats, etc etc.
