DL has very few overlapping routes with AS, except the new ones DL recently added to SEA. DL also has the cash.
Buy, baby buy.
Back in the old glory days AS would find some way to charm KKR and they in turn would dial up all their buddies at the big WS banks and before you know it you'd have a reverse merger, AS buying out DL with someone else's money and loving it, KKR making a fortune in fees. Ah the glory days...
