I'm with MTDR on this. There is no such thing as the ideal credit card suitable for every possible need. Why not use different cards at home and abroad? Why not use different cards for different purposes? Of course, not everyone is a churner, but we aren't talking about having a few dozen cards. Carry 3 or 4, and you won't be having these problems. I doubt most FT-ers will be willing to join your crusade.
