If you take the 12.45 in the afternoon from LHR to DXB and the 3.30 in the afternoon flight from DXB to LHR then that must be one of the best routes for getting the most out of F and CW.
Last year we booked the mid-afternoon for our return from honeymoon, which was then cancelled a week after booking. Turns out they cancelled it for about a month of the winter schedule. We ended up on the mid-morning, as the middle of the night departure was so unappealing. I was surprised that was the one they cancelled out of the 3.
