If it's a well-known, large airport location, I'd pay a larger premium to reserve a LCAR than at a smaller location or HLE that is more likely to have a smaller, less desirable selection. At larger locations, an LCAR reservation can sometimes lead to a Prestige Collection upgrade. Elsewhere, if you book a PCAR, you can still at least get a Buick or Taurus usually.
