Valet parking is frequently outsourced and hence doesn't earn points even for a stay paid with money. Most of the time it does earn point with one books a rate with parking, so this is inconsistent.

I would be surprised if various incidentals, such as hotel-owned restaurant meals, that earn points during a stay paid with money, do not earn points when using C&P.
