I've been enjoying the ride on the Capitol Corridor lately and plan to ride much more often. Work sometimes causes a delay getting to the train, and it's not like BART where it comes every 15 minutes. OTOH, the CC riders are much more pleasant.

Theoretical situation, for the Capitol Corridor route with a a one-way e-ticket in unreserved coach:

If a pax misses their train, but a co-worker drives them home instead, what is lost:
1. Cost of the ride?
2. AGR points? Meaning, if a paid e-ticket isn't scanned, even if the fare is lost does the pax still get the AGR points?


If the pax is leaving work and can see they'll miss their train, can they call Amtrak and get a voucher for the missed ride?
