I am always surprised how many people expect to use the US dollar in other countries. Korean stores and restaurants expect KRW!! Credit cards are welcomes almost everywhere.
Taxi's are very reasonable in Seoul and accept credit cards.
Subways have cards available for KRW or credit cards.
Seoul is a very pleasant city---especially near City Hall---Enjoy your trip!!
