Hilton Hyde Park
Just had an awful stay here - really based on the room. The fault lies between our corporate agent and Hilton I suspect. Room was booked and confirmed as a standard room but this turned out to be single! Usually this is made clear but this is the basis of the negotiated rate etc etc. They were full so could not upgrade. The room was tiny, dated and dingy. The website promotes light and airy with picture windows - erm not my room!! I am booked again for 2 nights later this month which I will try and switch. The manager was nice explained why it was but as I pointed out now I know its a single room I won't book again - he did make sure its a double next stay.
On the plus side all the staff were great - really friendly and the breakfast was great!
I will send a complaint to HH but suspect they won't care - worth a shot though!
