My annual fee will show up in Nov statement and hence I called to cancel on Oct 30 and there was no offer to keep me.

I actually called a few times before and see if they are willing to wave the fee, off course no luck. They all were very nice on the phone, remind me the benefits with the card.

But this time, the guy actually didn't let me finish my sentence and cut me off. I let him finish what he wants to say and then I continue my sentence. But again he cut me off again, very rude.

Anyway, as many had stated already, the CAT 5 cert still show up, and it is dated at Nov 1.

I waited until end of Oct for 2 reasons:

(1) hope to see the cert in my account after my cancel
(2) wait until I got my Sears M/C in my hand first

Overall, I found Chase CC application process is very bad, or you can say they are very tough on approving it. But both times (this Marriott card and the Sears M/C) I have to call in, ask to explain (more like demanding) why I am not approve. Always got some BS answer. Then I asked to speak to a manager/supervisor, and ask for the reason again and instead of giving me the same BS answer, put me on hold and come back and say I am approved with no reason why all the sudden I am now approve.

Funny thing is that I also applied the RBC Avion card on the same day and the RBC one was instant approve online while the Sears M/C was instant "not" approve at the store.
