I see your point and of course understand that this sometimes has to happen to prevent closures....but it's just mind boggling how huge corporations continue to get away with this stuff. I don't live in MSP anymore but did for many years....people in MN pay higher airfares than most other Delta stations so they already shovel lots and lots of dollars into DL's bank account. They have already suffered the loss of most while collar high paying jobs after the merger, and now they have to PAY to keep jobs in the state? I'd like to see who, in the end, actually wins?
