I would advise to of course already online check-in for your AirAsia flight and since it is a domestic flight, I believe you have until 45 mins before check-in/baggage drop will be closed for your flight.
You might even have the time to take the bus to the LCCT. The taxi will be slightly faster, but costs (sans inflation) 50 RM compared to the bus that costs 2 RM.

Such a big price difference between the taxi and the bus! I guess the key is if we would be lucky enough to catch the bus right after immigration and baggage claim. If not, we may not have other option but take the taxi.
It is really ridiculous that the 2 terminals are opposite each other on the opposite end of the tarmac and they dont have a better mean of transporting people between the 2 terminals. It is not like a massive size airport like LHR... or HKG.
Definitely online check in - AirAsia opens OLCI 14 days before flight. Though we still have to do the bag drop.

Flight delay of MH would be the one that an insurance would probably cover. However I seriously doubt that any insurance would cover a delay at the immigration.
