in past i had used this card to pay at one particular hotel in china for atleast 2 years, sometimes bill running close to a lakh last week when i tried to pay the deposit at the same hotel, it declined (even with entering pin).

I posted a query through my citibank account and they replied due to security concerns i cannot use this card in china. so a "travel card" that cannot be used for travel. they should rename it to domestic travel card then
