I have background and experience in EU law and I can assure you what you quoted regarding passport validity (for EU nationals travelling within EU) is illegal under EU law. Anyway, off to PEK in the morning. Hope it's not freezing over there, as I am the "Hawaii" type (there used to be great deals on LHR->>OGG on BA!!) So next trip to OGG :-)
