Well, there are glitches that happen on daily basis.

--- Refunds are slow, or never issued

--- GPU/RPU don't get redeposited when upgrades didn't clear

--- Miles are not redeposited when awards are canceled

---- Taxes/fees are not refunded when awards are canceled

UA knows this fully well, but hasn't done much to fix these "glitches" in their favor.

Intentionally or unintentionally.

Unless you babysit your account/PNR/Credit Card transactions and be ready to call, you just lose.
