I logged on to ba.com and through MMB was able to be transferred to aa.com to select my seat. Apparently this created a different record locator that I can see when I log on to aa.com but has only the last two flights of my trip.
The bolded parts are what confuses me. It seems that OP had two record locators in the beginning, a BA one and an AA one, which is of course normal. It's also normal to see all your flights (including code shares) booked together on one PNR. You wouldn't be able to change your seats on BA metal flights on AA.com under your AA record locator, but shouldn't you be able to select seats on AA metal flights, even if they were booked under a BA number?

Now the second part is what confuses me. You go to BA.com, and check your trip under the BA record locator. I'm not sure exactly what happens after that.

Also, you said you have two tickets under BA (125) ticket stock. However, all your flights that you're talking about either seem to be AA metal with AA flight number, or AA metal with BA flight number. Is this correct? Are other flights in play (not operated by AA)?

You said the last flight is a BA code share on AA metal. But the second ticket has two flights. What's the other one? What flights are on the first ticket? Is all of this one way, or round trip, and each one way is on a separate ticket like janetdoe suggests?
