You called to say you'd be very late, please don't cancel my reservation.

To me this is normal when you want to arrive early am and don't want to wait for a room/normal check-in time.

If you specifically called to say "don't cancel my reservation"...why did they cancel your reservation? Did they tell you when you called they would be doing this?
