What is the definition of a "night"?

I have a recent stay (October 19-22) that has 4 nights of room charges and accompanying taxes on it with 3 nights being one rate and the 4th being a lower rate. Due to the fact that my stay didn't start until the morning of October 19 vs the night of October 18, I have been told it is only 3 nights and I won't get quadruple points per the current promotion.

I am being told by Hilton that it is not considered a "night" because the folio doesn't say I stayed for 4 nights, even though there are 4 lines of room charges.

Does this sound correct? I could have made other plans and not stayed here, but I specifically wanted to get the quadruple points.

What is the definition of a night?

Thanks for any thoughts.
