The history of TSA is "fighting the last war" so it does not happen again. No plans for the future, just a series of knee jerk "fixes" to prevent the last attack from repeating.

9/11™? Ban boxcutters. Shoe bomb? Shoes off. Underwear bomb? NOS. Couple of Brit kids who flunked high school chemistry pretend water is a High Explosive? War on water, toothpaste, snowglobes and cream filled cupcakes although magic quart ziplocs convert any HE back to water.

Look for TSA to try to spend billions so "another LAX never happens." Plus Pistole is career FBI, an agency with 35,000 armed agents. He moved to TSA with 55,000 screeners with tin badges. If he gets them armed, he has a bigger "army" under his control than his old FBI. A feather on his resume.
