Try Williamsburg, VA. Colonial Williamsburg is supposed to be really nice at Christmas time. Lots of Holiday related events. I went to the Grand Illumination one year and it was pretty cool. See:

Also, Busch Gardens, Williamsburg does Christmas Town with over 5 million lights. With the exception of the coasters, most of the rides are open, with Holiday themed shows, and the food there is outstanding. See:

In Williamsburg, there is a Courtyard (Cat 4), FFI, RI, SHS (all Cat 5), all close to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. (The FS Marriott in Williamsburg, left the Marriott system two years ago and is now a DoubleTree). I have stayed at all, and enjoyed the stay at each.
