I understand that reward seats can be cancelled for a £25 fee in the event that i should change my travel plans OR indeed if i see a better class seat or perhaps flight option available to me.

The question I have is, if I do indeed wish to cancel a booking in favour of another flight or class, how long does it take from cancellation to my Avios being available again to re-use on the alternative reward ticket?

Clearly I want (and probably need) it to be instant for me to consider it. Very much appreciate any guidance given!
