I think the First Class companion cert pays for the card. The Sky Club access and alleged increased upgrade percentage are just icing on the cake IMO.

Also, if you have already spent $25k on the Plat Card, and then switch the Reserve Card mid-year, you're spending resets. For example, you would have to spend $30k on the Reserve Card to get the 15k MQM's.
