Amex don't concern themselves with your MBNA Amex other than assessing it as part of your credit score just like any other credit card company would.
I've held 4 Amex issued cards (Plat, Gold, BAPP and SPG) and was still approved for the Plat business, so I doubt you'll have any problems.
