Question Another AMEX Platinum to Reserve Upgrade Thread

I have read every single thread regarding this topic but I still just can't seem to decide if it's worth it to upgrade to the Reserve card.

I never fly for business so I will never make DM (ALL of my flying is for pleasure). I will make PL this year in two weeks after my JNB MR, and am fine with that.

I have been to the Sky Club twice in my life, both times paid for ($25) with my AMEX PL card. I don't normally have long layovers or hang out at airports but it was a good value.

I normally fly off-peak and have a VERY GOOD UG percentage as a GM, which will surely increase when I make PL.

I have only purchased FC tickets 3 times--both due to FCM on last-minute flights.

I have already spent $30k this year on my AMEX PL card so I got the 10k MQM boost after I spent $25k.

From what I have read I will receive 5K MQMs if I spend $30k/year, which shouldn't be a problem.

I think I'd like the Sky Club membership I guess, but is there any fine print/imitations I need to be aware of with this added benefit? Can I access any lounges OUTSIDE of the US with my card? I read in one of the threads that its really like a "mini" membership--which I have no idea what they meant...

So....Sky Club membership.....and extra 5k MQMs for the $30k annual spend....and a FC Companion ticket.....and a slightly better chance for upgrades due to holding the Reserve card (regarding same Medallion/same class fare purchased).....for $450/yr versus the $150 I am currently paying for my AMEX PL

Is there anything else I need to be aware of before I make this decision?

(I wish they offered 3x dollars spent on Delta like Alaska Air offers on their Reserve Card...)
