There is a Hertz opposite the Sheraton in the Bahia Mar building. It is a pretty unorganized HLE and the parking is convoluted pathway through the Bahia Mar property.
I did spend a couple of days at the W FLL in the west tower last winter - really quite nice rooms. The walk to Hertz is about 15 minutes.
But for the value, I liked Sheraton on Seabreeze especially if you upgrade to the beach building. Despite being a public beach, it felt "protected" from the public. My stay did include a credit for the breakfast amenity at Dos Cominos. It was enough for the continental breakfast for 2.
