I'm not sure on connect to my-tmobile.com for free... un-sure was going to try on my device this weekend when I head to Japan/Korea - will post Sunday night what I find.
Eager to hear any report on data access/performance in Japan - site says 3G networks, throttled data on 3G/HSPA makes sense as I don't think they even had 2G/Edge networks in Japan.
