I just landed in the UK today and from my current location I can see: O2, Vodaphone, EE, 3 and I occasionally see t-mobile...so will I get nailed (with roaming fees) unless I lock on to t-mobiles network?
No need to be on T-Mobile. in most of the 100+listed countries, T-Mobile is not even present.
Let your phone pick whatever network it wants and you'll be fine.
