Well, almost a dozen of us made it over last night and today, half of whom are now winging their way back while the rest of us are looking forward to a couple of days exploring this kingdom. Appears there are five of us at the HIX. (Had booked a rate that includes airport pick-up and return, and found two others on the way over also staying here, so they share the ride.) Flight was full in F and C, but open seats in the E+ cabin keeping most middle seats empty (though not all). Must have been a huge number of 1Ks and Plats since Group 1 was quite large and a lot of bags in the overheads had white and grey tags on them.

Best to get your visa online to speed things up. UA will claim you don't need to fill out a landing card if you have your visa. Get one and fill it out, you'll still need it. There are ATMs landslide outside the arrivals hall but you must put your card in chip end first. There are also a couple of exchange counters.

Good to meet @ORD again. Ironically we initially met a year ago coming off a UA IST flight at EWR the night before Sandy passed over the coastline. He managed to rent a car and drive westward but I got to spend an interesting four days at the CP EWR.
