Let's all be respectful of one another

While I initially allowed some of the back and forth early in this thread, feeling that members on both sides of the equation could learn from this experience, a member has raised concerns about this with me privately and, after further consideration, I have decided to remove posts that comprise unnecessarily disrespectful exchanges and to add this mod note:

Alice320, welcome to FlyerTalk and to the NYC Forum! I think that you will find that our members can be very helpful in offering advice to make the most out of your visit. To help us do that, we really do need as much detailed information as you can provide about things like budgetary constraints, food interests, distance form Times Square you are willing to travel, etc., as several of our members have noted. This request is also mentioned in our Sticky at the top of the forum, so please do check it out as well:

To our experienced NYC Forum members, please remember that you have a responsibility to treat all other members with respect under the TOS. It's ok to share suggestions on how we can better help others, but inflammatory posts are counterproductive. Some members have done an excellent job of this; others can do better. Lead by example and we will promote the type of forum and, indeed, community that we all want.
