I took the 4+ hour layover for both of my BAH runs this month -- IMHO it's too risky for a short layover in IAD, even in November.
I'll be Gold on my first run and Platinum on the second, so I can hang out in the UC, plus there'll be plenty of time to check out the *A lounge. If you are Gold or higher next year, you can, too.
