Totally agree. And god knows I spend enough time on here. But I've gotten to the point where I'd like to disconnect myself from all the travel hacking buzz. And honestly, I don't feel the need to to find out about every single MR opportunity and 500 point survey bonus. But there are some larger pieces of news that do make into the blogs.
For example, Loyalty Lobby just posted about the the United devaluation. That'll impact my travel bookings eventually, and I'm glad I found out about it sooner rather than later.
That's true, there are really only a few occasional pieces of news that are significant. The handful of bonus points, MR deal, changes to amenity kits, etc. are not particularly critical to me either.
