Resurrecting this old thread. I'm trying to book IAD-NRT in F for 2 people on ANA with UA miles. I have searched and cannot find any availability through next October. Is this typical? Any space likely to open up this year?
When I looked at this a week ago, I saw a LOT of space offered for 1 passenger on various NH F flights to the USA (mostly ORD-NRT) and NO flights offering space for 2 passengers in NH F on the same flight.
I tried experimentally booking 1 pax into NH F on each of two different daily flights, and observed that each completely empty flight went from F8 to F7 and that no more NH F availability opened up after a day or so on those flights.
My sense was that ANA tries hard, at least in advance, to release only 1 F seat per flight.
