If I was trying to price out:
ORD-LAX-ORD-PVG-HKG-NRT-ORD-LAX-ORD as a MR what tools and how can I get it done?

As one suggestion in this thread, I put the NRT stopover as a workaround for the PVG TWOV and added HKG F Lounge as a treat.

I'm working in AA.com Multi-City Search selecting flight schedule but the flight options are many and I can't figure out the least expensive options.

I did put together: ORD-STL-LAX-ORD-PVG-ORD-LAX-ORD
21,197 for $1,172 @5.6. But I need some advance tips on how to search and compare the itineraries in my head.

When I try ITA Multi search with connections, all I get is individually priced legs.
