That's interesting. I booked on the MH website a few weeks ago. Decided not to pay to reserve seats assuming I could get them for free at some stage. Never offered free seat selection on MMB. Called the London office and told that there is no free seat selection for Sapphire/Emerald, and that after booking you can't select a seat at all, not even if you pay??!

I'll have to try calling again and see what can be done. Seems ridiculous not even being able to pay to select a seat after the inital booking.
