[QUOTE=tuff;21706507]A few weeks ago I flew LHR-JFK with AA on their new “flagship” flight and then back on the Upper Deck with BA. I think I still prefer BA.

The First AA lounge at LHR was abysmal, not even comparable to a Club Galleries lounge never mind the First lounge. Only one bottle of champagne at a time and that could only be replaced with the permission of the lounge dragon, apparently.

On board, the seats are probably better than BA’s but only if travelling alone. They all face the front and the window seats are slightly behind the line of the middle seats so that you have a sense of privacy but cannot easily chat. We had the middle seats and could only really converse if we leaned forward to peek around the central “wall” between the seats. The big advantage, of course, is that everyone has an aisle seat. The service on board AA was good, I will admit and they have a snack bar in between the two sections of Business that was useful. We were in the small, forward cabin with only a few rows of seats which made it more intimate than the larger cabin, I guess. I peeked into the first cabin and the seats seem to be the same, just bigger, with bigger IFE screens, slippers and real glass for their champagne on boarding (we had posh plastic).

On the way back I had 64A so can’t really complain.[/QUOTE

It is perfect for a couple. In case u didn't realise the seats can be moved forward and then u can converse with ur partner. Much better than CW
