…On other end three letter ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) code used in operation for American Airlines is AAL. ICAO code AAA belonged to now defunct Ansett Australian Airlines. I know AMR Corp was very interested in acquiring ICAO code AAA when Ansett Australian Airlines went belly up on 2002. What happened to that? Does somebody still own ICAO code AAA?
