Very likely from my experience.

Last year I missed IAH-IAD leg of IAH-IAD-BAH due to my own fault. UA rebooked me on IAH-FRA and FRA-BAH on LH. Medical diversion on IAH-FRA. UA rebooked me on QR FRA-BAH
