Prepaid rates are supposed to earn points (or miles, if you choose that option). The problem is that Hertz's system seems to be incorrectly listing the prepayment as a "voucher" in many cases (including a recent rental of mine), and rentals that use vouchers don't earn points or miles. And at least in my case, Hertz's customer service people don't seem to be able to understand the problem, much less correct it (despite multiple emails from me explaining the issue).

I'm pretty annoyed with Hertz about this. I'm trying to decide whether to stop prepaying for rentals, or simply stop using Hertz altogether.

Edit: Just to be clear, my annoyance isn't just about the mistake. Mistakes happen. It's the incompetent customer service that's bugging me: when I send an email explaining that the rental did not involve a voucher, I shouldn't get back another form email explaining that rentals using vouchers don't earn points.
