The IC Sydney is a vastly inferior hotel in almost every way(let those that like it shoot me Ive been shot before at
For one the IC Sydney is dated and tired (yes well kept up despite) and the management ownership stingy and non hospitable.
Of course there are exceptions to this.
The only real upside to the IC Sydney is the club lounge and the social aspect) and it’s often crowded more similar to a public bar/club
Grizzell up in the club lounge @IC Sydney is their one feather in their cap. She is brilliant and a wonderful individual but even she can’t save or fix the rest of the experience.
If I was looking for a great club lounge experience I would probably on the top of my list head to the Sheraton on the Park or the Westin Sydney who do a marvelous job
The nickel and dime behavior and lack of recognition at the IC Sydney ended my likelihood of ever going back to the property as you have witnessed

At the Park Hyatt you have management and team members that truly care about your experience
They treat all guests points or rack rate paying as equals. They exemplify what relationship building is.
Just when you least expect it a random act of kindness occurs
They value loyalty and they are a Hyatt legend with the exception of the unfortunate Gold Passport suite upgrade exclusion issue that I believe is a mistake

At the Park Hyatt Sydney they have a solid hard product which had a multi million dollar makeover measured in months not decades past
Today it is a highly attractive property with the latest amenities meeting the needs and expectations of most of today’s demanding travelers.
Having the privilege of Gold Passport Hyatt Diamond status and an experience at the Park Hyatt Sydney will probably make you look cross eyed
at Priority Club and the IC Ambassador program in the future
Especially when your breakfast bill arrives for a party of 3. That view of the Opera House will be looking even better than you could imagine as a Diamond member

On the rare occasion at the PH Sydney when I have had 3 guests in a room a rollaway bed was waiting in the room impressively without asking.
A butler awaits your needs with a simple call.
And at the end of the day if you come for the impressive and memorable views rest assured you likely won’t leave disappointed
You will most likely experience a level of service more typically the IC Sydney may never be able to deliver today or going forward
In a nutshell if you can make it happen don’t miss a stay at the Park Hyatt Sydney it’s a very special hotel and your family
will most likely appreciate and admire you for bringing them there
I would love to agree with you, but my experience at the PHS was less than stellar.
