I understand (vaguely) all the psychologists mumbo-jumbo about "red".

The fact remains that the cabins are blooooooooo, lightly relieved by bayyyyyyyge cushions. It looks like an old folks home, where nothing should excite any emotions at all.

The OH, who has past experience of the interior of the RAF's VIP Comet fleet, notes that they had red carpets. Apparently no Royalty, Ministers or other VIPs suffered long-term damage. The colours of the National Flag are Red, White and Blue ... beige/taupe and similar nauseous colours do NOT feature.
