I am wondering if there is any store that carries Rimowa inside the terminal at FRA?
My in-law is coming from China for a visit and I booked a business award with my miles. He would be flying the long way (PEK-FRA-YYZ) here. I thought if I could ask him to buy some Rimowa product for my wife (a carry-on and perhaps a mid-sized Topas) if that's possible
I don't think he is allowed to leave the airside as he doesn't have Schengen visa and China's passport is not exactly useful.
From posts here it seems there's no Rimowa store in the airside? If so, is there any planned one? (in-law isn't travelling until Jan 2014)
I've just seen an announcement about a new service which
might
help your in-law.

The new Lufthansa WorldShop delivery service: 'Airport Delivery'
Good news for all travellers who live outside the Lufthansa WorldShop delivery area. With the new service, 'Lufthansa WorldShop Airport Delivery', in the future you will easily be able to collect the product you want when arriving or changing flights at Frankfurt Airport. Why not try the special delivery service on your next flight to Frankfurt and enjoy the freedom of shopping at WorldShop worldwide!
This is how 'Lufthansa WorldShop Airport Delivery' works: when browsing through our catalogue or in the online shop at worldshop.eu, look for the products marked with the 'Airport Delivery' icon. Fill your shopping basket and submit your order up to four calendar days before your departure to Frankfurt.
On arrival at Frankfurt Airport, you can collect the items in the Lufthansa WorldShop in Terminal 1 without additional cost. If you are only in transit at Frankfurt Airport, a member of the WorldShop staff will personally deliver the items you have ordered to you at the gate of your connecting flight for a service charge of €19.95.
Thanks to 'Airport Delivery', passengers who live outside Europe can now also enjoy the exclusive shopping offered by Lufthansa WorldShop – and the various opportunities to redeem miles for award products. For passengers who live within the Lufthansa WorldShop delivery area, 'Airport Delivery' is also a perfect service for a relaxed trip: no more stress over buying souvenirs – simply order your gifts in advance and collect them in Frankfurt.
You will find further information at

Some cabin trolleys are among the list of items which can be delivered to the gate. The service won't help with any items which cannot be carried as hand baggage.
