Doubtful; I fly p.s. often and they run out of overhead room in the Y cabin quickly and many people in the higher boarding groups have to gate check items. What I am saying is that the gate agents and cabin crew are likely not going to be willing to cut any slack when it comes to the carry-on baggage limit, which is 22" or less luggage and a personal item like a purse, briefcase, or backpack.
