I have a ridiculous situation with AA and am looking for advice. There is a new entry system at ORD where you just scan your passport at a computer, put in your flight number, and if all is well, you pass through immigration without seeing a human. On my last trip, I was rejected by the computer and sent to a line with a human- a one hour wait. Why? Because my passport has the JR suffix, and the ticket info does not.

I called AA and they said they would add JR. They did, but my birth date changed. So I called back and they fixed my birth date, but the JR dropped off. They obviously have a hack in their computer program.

I have dealt with five different agents so far, all who acknowledge the problem, and say they will write a ticket to the programmers and get this fixed. Each time I call back, there is no record of my previous attempts to fix things. It has been two months now. Any suggestions?
