Some observations watching food preparation in the open kitchen in the QF F SYD lounge:
- With bare hands, cook plates salmon
- Then with bare hands puts raw bacon on the grill
- Then with bare hands plates raw avocado
- Then with bare hands picks up toast from toaster
- Then with bare hands wipes nose
- Then with bare hands plates salad leaves
I pointed this out to the manager and she said "that's just how it's done." Isn't handling raw food then cooked food without washing hands a health violation? With the violations in the BA lounges at LHR and watching this, I'm not too keen on eating lounge food. Although I realize this probably goes on in all restaurants...
