Hi all, I'm new here (my very first post) but have used this site MANY times in the past to get information for flights.
Anyway, I have almost a 4.5 hr layover in FRA this Sunday, November 3, from 9:00-13:30 after arriving on my flight from IAH (first trip on the A380! ^), and am wondering if there's any possibility of getting lounge access somehow. Unfortunately, I'm only a MileagePlus Silver, so I don't get automatic access to the lounges like Gold (or higher). I'm not flying business/first...only economy. But, I'm wondering if the Lufthansa lounges have any sort of day access passes. United Clubs have day passes (through credit cards, etc) and people sometimes sell those.
Or, this is probably going
WAY out on a limb, but I think I saw some posts about this in the past...would anyone be willing to meet me in the airport and allow me to gain access to the lounge? 4.5 hours is just a long time to sit without much to do. I'm not really into shopping, and I'd rather be able to sit in a chair and relax, maybe hop online and check emails, work a little bit, etc, and 4.5 hrs does not give me enough time to go wander around the city for a while.
I even looked into doing an airport tour, but they only seem to be offered in German. Unfortunately, I don't speak German, so I'm not sure how beneficial that would be to me.
Thank you!
Matt
