Stayed here recently. Was on the tenth floor with a view of the convention centre and train tracks. The room came with earplugs, so that concerned me when I saw them. However, never used them and never noticed any outstide noise. Friendly staff. Didn't have any food at the hotel. Used the pool one late afternoon and had it to myself.
The location is great if you are going to the convention centre. It is at the base of the Gaslamp district, with lots of dining choices.
