Still, it's somewhat of a luxury for folks from the upper midwest to take a winter vacation in Arizona. Thus, common wisdom would say that demand for these plane tickets is relatively price inelastic because it's mostly people with relatively high incomes that are doing this. They aren't likely to drive or take a train/bus instead of flying and for many, it's a traditional winter ritual that they would miss if they were to stop making these trips. The same would apply to those who follow the baseball games south at this time.
AFAIK Arizona doesn't do a lot of spring break business. This type of late winter travel is much more price elastic.
