Guess they won't invite me anyway... but $528/year for 45k miles is a good deal. The earning rate online looks not bad too.

Does the annual fee guarantee some miles beyond Year 1? (Too many fine prints from HSBC for my liking, sorry if I ask a lot of questions)

Not sure about the income requirement as I haven't called them up yet. Maybe tomorrow.

If there's no other fine print, maybe I will just get the card for the 45k miles. For HSBC, at least I didn't have a problem while I was in HKG. Not sure about in SIN though as my banking relationship is not with HSBC so far.
