I think I've seen this question asked before, and I think i remember reading the answer, but I can't seem to find it now!

I'm arriving on a cathay flight from HND that lands at 3PM. I have a friend coming in at around 5:30 PM, she's never been to HK before so I figure I'd wait for her so we can take the airport express into town together.

We are departing on KA flight to RGN that night (on the same record locator as my HND-HKG flight, so I hopefully should already have the BP printed in tokyo so I can bypass transit desk).

I was wondering if it would be possible for me to chill in the lounge and wait until her flight arrives. We want to head into town for dinner since flight to RGN isnt untill almost midnight.

The question I'm asking is, if i go through the transit security to get to the lounge, how much of a hassle is it to get someone to escort you back to go thru HK immigration? Is it worth the trouble? how long have you had to wait? Do you get yelled at/scowled at by the lounge dragons?
