I've been told by BA CC that they allocate 1A or 1K because the entire fleet does not have NF. This also works if there is an aircraft change on a route that normally has NF. We had the same issue last year going out to PHX (NF out but OF back).

I have to say that the cot positions in NF were not well thought out being near the galley.
